The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vucci misses with a lunging right hand

and McAllister counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
McAllister is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Vucci pulls McAllister in close to prevent any damage.
McAllister trying to control the position from guard on top but Vucci is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Vucci looking to hit a scissor sweep but McAllister is one step ahead there.

Vucci pushes McAllister off and scrambles back to his feet.
Vucci takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McAllister ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Donatello Vucci seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McAllister looks for a takedown but Vucci sprawls well.
McAllister fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

McAllister shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vucci sprawls well. Vucci wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McAllister gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean McAllister. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McAllister takes one on the button.
McAllister throws a series of punches but Vucci avoids them all with ease.
McAllister changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vucci tries to avoid it but McAllister manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vucci to the ground. Vucci escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vucci connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Vucci pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Vucci throws a series of punches but McAllister avoids them all with ease.
McAllister tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vucci swats him away and circles back towards the center.

McAllister fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vucci sprawls well initially but McAllister persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

McAllister is looking for a kimura but Vucci is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McAllister to get the leverage.

McAllister decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Vucci stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vucci wants it to stay on the feet.
Vucci looks to land a left hand but McAllister moved out of range nicely.
Donatello Vucci is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McAllister is breathing heavily.
Vucci lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! McAllister goes down and covers up as Vucci starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
