Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Datu Unsay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Byron Marchand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marchand lets loose with a powerful body kick. Unsay will feel that in the morning.

and Unsay counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Unsay stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Unsay wants it to stay on the feet.

Marchand swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Unsay is now in Marchand's guard. A big mistake from Marchand there, giving up the dominant position!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Unsay has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marchand is proving hard to escape from.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marchand is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Unsay to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Unsay shrugs it off.

Well Marchand has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
