Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenneth Townsend!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Townsend shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Takeshi but Takeshi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Townsend uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Takeshi.
Townsend just misses with a punch to the body.
Takeshi misses the jab.
Takeshi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Townsend fails with the takedown.
Takeshi throws a right hand that Townsend ducks under and follows up with a left that Townsend also avoids with ease.

Danger Takeshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenneth Townsend.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Townsend shoots in and drives through. Takeshi sprawls well.
Takeshi is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Takeshi's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Takeshi swings for the body but Townsend moves out of range.
Townsend throws a wild body kick that Takeshi sees coming a mile off.
Townsend throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Takeshi's waist but Takeshi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Townsend off to one side.
Nice takedown defense from Takeshi. No joy for Townsend on that attempt.
Takeshi throws a sloppy head kick and Townsend moves out of range easily.
Takeshi drops his shoulder and cracks Townsend with a huge uppercut! Townsend goes down! Can Takeshi finish him?
Townsend is rocked!
It looks like Kenneth Townsend has been cut.
Takeshi wants to stand but Townsend has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Townsend is still in real trouble! Can Takeshi finish him?
Townsend is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Townsend looks gassed!
Townsend looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Townsend seems to have recovered his senses.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Townsend tries to pass the half guard into mount. Takeshi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Takeshi kicks off Townsend and gets to his feet.
Takeshi throws a leg kick but Townsend checks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Townsend shoots in looking for a takedown. Takeshi tries to sprawl out of it but Townsend keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Takeshi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice defenses there by Townsend.

Takeshi throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Townsend decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Takeshi's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Townsend pushes down on Takeshi's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Takeshi wants to get back to his feet.
Takeshi kicks Townsend off and gets back to his feet.
Takeshi connects with a stiff jab that staggers Townsend - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
