PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between I Shiv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Mayhem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shiv might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Let's Fighting Love. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhem misses with a looping left.
Mayhem doesn't manage to clinch there - Shiv circles away.
Shiv throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Shiv. That's going to slow Mayhem down.
Mayhem dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shiv connects with a leg kick. Mayhem looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Mayhem seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mayhem postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shiv looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters circle momentarily. Shiv darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Mayhem shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Some bone on bone action there as Mayhem checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Mayhem's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
