Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jak Progresso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Progresso's entrance music is Dance Hall Days. A fine choice. Jak Progresso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jak Progresso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kris Marsh!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh slips under a jab.
Progresso loads up on a big right hand but Marsh slips the punch.
Progresso connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Marsh's hands.
Progresso throws a head kick that misses.
Progresso tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marsh was well out of range. Poor timing from Progresso.
Progresso throws the left hand but Marsh avoids the punch easily.

and Marsh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Marsh closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marsh lands in his opponent's guard.
Marsh working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Progresso's head.
Marsh with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Progresso pulls Marsh in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marsh keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Progresso's head.

Marsh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marsh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Marsh is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Progresso is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Progresso has escaped and now he's on top!

Marsh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Progresso wants to control from the top but Marsh keeps moving.
Progresso is really struggling to control Marsh but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marsh wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Marsh has an active guard here but Progresso has managed to pass into half guard.

Progresso looks to land a right hand but Marsh moved out of range.
Marsh shoots in for a takedown but Progresso shows good takedown defense.

and Progresso counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Jak Progresso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Marsh.

Marsh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Progresso sprawls well initially but Marsh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

BOOM! Marsh connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Progresso takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
