Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakamoto lands a nice looking body shot.
Sakamoto misses with a series of wild punches.
Jericho moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Sakamoto lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sakamoto.
Jericho doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sakamoto counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sakamoto fails to land with a series of punches.
Sakamoto misses with the combination.
Sakamoto dips to his left and cracks Jericho with an uppercut!

Paul Sakamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jared Jericho.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jericho's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sakamoto connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jericho scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Jared Jericho has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sakamoto is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Sakamoto ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sakamoto Rushes Jericho and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Jericho is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Sakamoto Piles on the pressure and Jericho crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
