Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Alarcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gib Nudger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alarcon misses the jab.
Alarcon avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A punch combination from Nudger misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Alarcon.
Alarcon throws a body punch but Nudger moves out of range.
Nudger steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alarcon.
Alarcon throws an overhand right that lands on Nudger's shoulder, as Nudger tries to avoid the shot.
Nudger uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alarcon.
Alarcon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alarcon throws a jab but it's blocked by Nudger.
Alarcon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Oscar Alarcon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alarcon falls off balance throwing a combination

and Nudger counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alarcon won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nudger lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Alarcon down.

Nudger misses with the ground and pound.
Alarcon tries to bench press Nudger off him but Nudger keeps the position.

Alarcon regains half guard there - taking advantage of Nudger's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Nudger throwing shots but Alarcon is blocking nicely.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Nudger missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Nudger is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Alarcon lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nudger moves forwards but Alarcon connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Alarcon misses with a double jab.
A head kick misses from Nudger.
Alarcon throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Nudger stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Alarcon follows into mount!

Nudger is rocked!

It looks like Gib Nudger has been cut.
Alarcon controlling the pace for now.
Nudger is still in real trouble! Can Alarcon finish him?
Nudger is squirming around, avoiding Alarcon's attempts to control the action.
Nudger seems to have recovered his senses.

Alarcon jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Nudger manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Alarcon trying to control the position but Nudger is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alarcon is really struggling to control Nudger but he's trying to hold on to the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
