The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lukacevic misses with a takedown attempt and St Pierre decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lukacevic's guard. Lukacevic preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. St Pierre wants to control from the top but Lukacevic keeps moving. St Pierre postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. St Pierre thows a big elbow that misses. St Pierre wants to control from the top but Lukacevic keeps moving. Lukacevic tries to bum rush St Pierre with a series of wild strikes but St Pierre uses good footwork to avoid the assault. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. St Pierre is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. St Pierre content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. St Pierre postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref stands the fighters back up because Georges St Pierre just wasn't active enough. Lukacevic with a lazy takedown attempt and St Pierre counters with a shoot takedown. Lukacevic fights it but they end up in guard. St Pierre is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. St Pierre is pushing down on Lukacevic's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lukacevic is fighting to maintain full guard but St Pierre has managed to sneak the leg through. St Pierre swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lukacevic is now in St Pierre's guard. A big mistake from St Pierre there, giving up the dominant position! St Pierre has Lukacevic pulled in close to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. St Pierre looking for a sweep. Not yet St Pierre, not yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Georges St Pierre. St Pierre fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lukacevic sprawls well initially but St Pierre persists and gets the takedown into half guard. St Pierre postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lukacevic to stand up. Lukacevic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and St Pierre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Georges St Pierre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luka Lukacevic. St Pierre wants to control from the top but Lukacevic keeps moving. St Pierre lands a couple of decent looking shots. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. St Pierre scoring with some ground and pound. St Pierre is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Georges St Pierre dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

St Pierre misses with a wild body shot. St Pierre gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Lukacevic's face as St Pierre controls the position. St Pierre decides to stand back up. St Pierre steps back and let's Lukacevic get back to his feet. St Pierre closes the distance and clinches. St Pierre is trying to break the clinch but Lukacevic is controlling him. Lukacevic is looking for a takedown up against the cage. St Pierre gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Lukacevic goes for a takedown attempt but St Pierre pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Luka Lukacevic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lukacevic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. St Pierre shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. St Pierre showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre is nestled in close to Lukacevic, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. St Pierre is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. St Pierre not doing much here.
St Pierre seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lukacevic for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. St Pierre is looking for a kimura but Lukacevic is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for St Pierre to get the leverage. St Pierre lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. St Pierre seems to be working for a kimura but Lukacevic defends the submission attempt. St Pierre is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lukacevic defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. St Pierre wants to stand up but Lukacevic is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lukacevic tries to roll over but St Pierre keeps him under control. Lukacevic is not content to let St Pierre control the position. St Pierre is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lukacevic has managed to free his arm - good work. St Pierre trying to mount his opponent but Lukacevic defends it.
And that's the end of the fight! Georges St Pierre showed his dominance in that final round. Well St Pierre has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
