The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nelson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bradley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Nelson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bradley is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Nelson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Nelson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bradley rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Nelson's guard! Nice work there by Bradley !
Nelson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nelson is trying to work for a sweep but Bradley has mounted him!

Bradley moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Nelson has worked his arm free - good work by Nelson!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bradley controls the position from side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bradley prevents Nelson from escaping the position.

Bradley tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Nelson is pushing Bradley 's head away, looking to escape. Bradley manages to hold on to the position though.

Nelson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bradley kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bradley takes a swing at Nelson's ribcage but misses.
Bradley sizes up Nelson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nelson shoots in for a double leg but Bradley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nelson shoots in but no luck this time.
Nelson looks gassed!
Bradley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bradley throws a good cross that connects.
Bradley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bradley stuns Nelson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nelson moves forwards but Bradley connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Nelson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bradley finds it's way round the side to connect with Nelson's head.

Bradley 's corner calls for a 1-2. Bradley obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bradley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nelson's hands.
Bradley clobbers Nelson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nelson drops his hands momentarily and Bradley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Bradley pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nelson back to the ropes. Bradley follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Nelson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Bradley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A combination from Bradley does no damage.
Nelson wants to clinch up but Bradley keeps it at a distance.
Nelson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bradley .
Bradley lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nelson closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bradley counters with a one-two to the body.
Bradley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nelson closes the distance and clinches up with Bradley , looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes Bradley against the ropes but Bradley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bradley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nelson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bradley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nelson somewhat.

Kyle Nelson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
