The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Zeee moves in looking to clinch but Junior pushes him off.

Junior closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Zeee is in trouble now - Junior has advanced to mount!
Junior throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Junior is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zeee can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Junior tries to bum rush Zeee with a series of wild strikes but Zeee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zeee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Zeee bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Junior's head backwards.

and Junior counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zeee won't be happy with that.

Junior has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Zeee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Deeem Zeee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Junior fails in his attempt to clinch.
Zeee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Junior fails with a takedown attempt.
Zeee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Junior counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Zeee!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Junior wants to control the pace but Zeee is squirming around nicely.

Carlos Junior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That kick from Junior tenderised Zeee's leg. Zeee is trying to keep his angry face on.

Junior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zeee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Zeee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Junior throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zeee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Junior gets to his feet. Zeee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Junior misses with a jab, cross combination.

Deeem Zeee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Junior tries to close the distance and clinch but Zeee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nice takedown defense from Zeee. No joy for Junior on that attempt.

Zeee lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Junior backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zeee creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Zeee is trying to break the clinch but Junior has him pressed against the cage.

Junior has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Junior jumps guard and drags Zeee to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Zeee is staying active underneath Junior, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Deeem Zeee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Carlos Junior is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
