The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filmer shoots for a takedown but Young saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Young moves out of range of the body kick.
A combination from Filmer does no damage.

Young throws a left that rocks Filmer and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Young dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Filmer regain composure!

It looks like Andrew Filmer has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Filmer pushes Young away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Young gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Filmer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Young is one step ahead there.
Young wants to stand and escape but instead Filmer has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Filmer wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Young throws a quick inside leg kick.

Filmer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Young counters with a nice body shot.

Young throws a head kick but Filmer moves out of range.

Young lands a left and a right that sends Filmer crashing to the canvas! Young dives into mount looking to finish!

Whack! Young lands a heavy head kick that drops Filmer. The ref tackles Young to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Filmer was done.
