Jiminez has chosen Big pun - Beware as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jiminez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ortiz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jiminez.
Hector Jiminez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ortiz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Jiminez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ortiz doesn't seem bothered though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jiminez but Jiminez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A good leg kick by Jiminez.

Ortiz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hector Jiminez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ortiz is breathing heavily.
Jiminez lands a nice hook to Ortiz's body. Ortiz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ortiz walks into a stiff left hand from Jiminez.

Jiminez lands a left and a right that send Ortiz crashing to the mat, dazed. Jiminez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ortiz is rocked!

It looks like Jerry Ortiz has been cut.

Ortiz bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Jiminez comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Ortiz falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Ortiz was out before he hit the floor!
