PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marek Piotrowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piotrowski has chosen Rob Zombie - Superbeast as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piotrowski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bauer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Piotrowski enables Bauer to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Piotrowski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Bauer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Piotrowski wants to stand but Bauer is controlling the position.
Piotrowski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bauer controls the pace.
Piotrowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bauer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bauer stops Piotrowski from standing up.
Bauer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Piotrowski's guard.
Piotrowski wants to get back to his feet.

Bauer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bauer decides to return to a standing position.
Piotrowski fails to land with a series of punches.

Piotrowski looks gassed!
Bauer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bauer passes Piotrowski's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bauer seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bauer takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bauer wants to pass to mount but Piotrowski is defending the position.
Bauer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bauer slows the pace down in half guard.
Piotrowski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bauer is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Bauer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Piotrowski for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Bauer.
Bauer throws a wild body kick that Piotrowski sees coming a mile off.

Piotrowski is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Marek Piotrowski has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bauer shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Piotrowski takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Bauer sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Piotrowski bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
