Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wladek Mietorlinek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rambo Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wladek Mietorlinek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rambo Jones!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mietorlinek keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mietorlinek is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Jones gets the takedown into side control.
Jones working the ground and pound but Mietorlinek is defending the strikes.
Mietorlinek manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mietorlinek is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Still in half guard, Jones seems content to control.
Mietorlinek tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.
Mietorlinek blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mietorlinek is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jones wants to control but Mietorlinek is keeping him busy.

Jones is looking to advance position but Mietorlinek won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones is thwarting Mietorlinek's attempts to control the position.
Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Mietorlinek is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Jones looks gassed!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jones forces Mietorlinek back against the cage and clinches.
Mietorlinek can't break the clinch.
Mietorlinek is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Jones has Mietorlinek pressed against the cage, preventing Mietorlinek from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jones stops a takedown attempt from Mietorlinek.
Jones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mietorlinek.
Mietorlinek has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Mietorlinek is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now.

Jones manages to break the clinch.

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mietorlinek won't be happy with that.

Mietorlinek regains half guard.
Mietorlinek might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mietorlinek trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
Mietorlinek is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Jones tries to stand but Mietorlinek is controlling from the bottom.

Jones wants to get up but he can't break Mietorlinek's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mietorlinek trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Mietorlinek trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rambo Jones dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mietorlinek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Mietorlinek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mietorlinek gets full guard.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Mietorlinek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mietorlinek looking to control.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mietorlinek is on top in guard.

Mietorlinek wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Mietorlinek chips away with some ground and pound.
Mietorlinek has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from.

Mietorlinek stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Mietorlinek on that attempt.

Mietorlinek missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Jones counters with a right hand to the body.
Mietorlinek tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Mietorlinek fights it but they end up in guard.

Jones throws and elbow that misses. Mietorlinek uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Mietorlinek!

Mietorlinek sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard.
Mietorlinek wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mietorlinek has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jones defend it? Mietorlinek steps over the head and cranks it - Jones is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mietorlinek!
