Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Roman Riquelme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes comes to the cage accompanied by Everybody Knows My Name. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riquelme misses with a takedown
and Holmes counters with a stiff right hand.
Holmes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Riquelme.
Riquelme takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Riquelme tries to clinch
and Holmes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Holmes.
Holmes scores with a nice hook to the head.
Riquelme lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Riquelme is keen to just control but Holmes is a slippery customer.
Holmes manages to get to full guard.

Holmes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Holmes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Riquelme's guard.

Holmes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We're going to have a standup here because Mike Holmes wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Riquelme fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Holmes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nice body punch from Holmes.
Riquelme drops his hands momentarily and Holmes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Riquelme closes the distance looking to clinch
and Riquelme takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Riquelme needs to keep his hands up - Holmes had a free shot at his head there.
Riquelme doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Holmes to counter with a crisp jab.
Mike Holmes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Roman Riquelme.
Holmes shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Riquelme eats them both and turns towards Holmes to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Riquelme is rocked!
A jab from Holmes does it's job there.
Riquelme is still on wobbly legs! Can Holmes finish him?

Holmes cracks Riquelme with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Riquelme falls to his knees and Holmes doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
