Peterson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Remember the Name by Fort Minor. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Donahue tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Peterson is in Donahue's guard.
Peterson advances position into side control!
Peterson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Donahue knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peterson on the ground.
Peterson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Peterson throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Peterson fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Peterson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Donahue!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Peterson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Donahue turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Peterson off and cradles Donahue's limp body as Peterson celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Thomas Peterson!
