The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tank scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jackson regains half guard there - taking advantage of Tank's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tank closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Tank pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tank just stands there and leans against the cage.

Tank jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tank is looking to stand up but Jackson isn't so interested in that idea.

Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tank.

Tank jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jackson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jackson and Tank has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tank swings around for an armbar but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tank's guard.
Tank wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
Tank looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tank wants to control but Jackson passes easily into half guard.
Jackson trying to pass the guard but Tank defending well.
Jackson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Jackson is trying to control. Tank wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Jackson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Jackson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tank manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
You can see the frustration on Tank's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tank is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jackson gets his way!
Marcelo Tank is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jackson is not going to allow Tank to sit and survive in this position.
