Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Susikasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Empire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Empire has chosen Protectors of the Earth as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Roman Empire has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Seppo Susikasi's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Empire shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Susikasi napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Empire cracks Susikasi with a big right hand but Susikasi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Susikasi is looking to regain half guard here but Empire keeps moving and retains side control.
Susikasi wants to control but Empire postures up.

Empire working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Susikasi is trying to control Empire's posture but Empire avoids it.
Susikasi takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Empire misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Empire is putting a hurting on Susikasi here, landing some big shots from side control.
Susikasi manages to get back to half guard.
Empire thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Susikasi's head.
Empire prevents Susikasi from improving his position.

Susikasi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Empire pulls his head out easily.

Susikasi is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Empire scores with a couple of nice shots.

Empire is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Susikasi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Empire.

Empire keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Susikasi's head.

Susikasi is looking for a triangle but Empire pushes his legs off easily.

Empire postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Empire got a little sloppy there for a moment and Susikasi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Empire has managed to get both his arms back between Susikasi's legs - danger averted.

Susikasi has his foot on Empire's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Empire works his way back into a safe position though.
Empire stands up over Susikasi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Empire is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Susikasi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Empire defends well.
Empire distracts Susikasi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Susikasi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Susikasi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Susikasi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Empire gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Empire thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Susikasi looking for a triangle here. Empire is fighting it but it looks tight! Susikasi pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Empire is tapping out - this one is all over!
