The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mallao tries for a takedown but Salace circles away easily

so Salace counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Salace wants to control from the top but mallao keeps moving.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
mallao controls Salace momentarily but Salace frees himself.
Salace trying to control the position from guard on top but mallao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
mallao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salace on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Cecil Salace.

mallao gets caught flat footed, as Salace shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Salace is pushing down on mallao's leg trying to pass to half guard. mallao is fighting to maintain full guard but Salace has managed to sneak the leg through.
