Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and nick diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter has closed the distance and engaged diaz in a clinch.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sam Hunter.

The referee asks Hunter politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hunter prefers to stall for the moment though.

Hunter is going oldschool here, as he tries to force diaz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so diaz shrugs it off.
Hunter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
diaz is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Hunter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
You get the feeling that diaz really doesn't like being in this position too much.

diaz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and diaz wants it to stay on the feet.
diaz connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hunter's hands.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts diaz, as that shot connected.
Oh Hunter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hunter drops his hands momentarily and diaz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunter has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
diaz lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Hunter can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from diaz and Hunter drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by diaz.
