The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ananasov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ananasov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ananasov connects with a nice short shot to Vera's temple.
Vera is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vera is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ananasov scores with a couple of nice shots.
Vera is trying to control but can't.
Ananasov prevents Vera from improving his position.
Vera has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ananasov is working away from the top position though.

Ananasov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Vera is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ananasov in particular looking to stall.
