The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva clinches up against the cage.

Ahlberg is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silva is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ahlberg to the mat. Ahlberg regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Ahlberg has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Ahlberg has wrist control.
Ahlberg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

Ahlberg drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ahlberg has Silva in his guard.

Ahlberg is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.

Silva wants to control from the top but Ahlberg keeps moving.

Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ahlberg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.

Ahlberg wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Silva is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ahlberg looks calm but he's in trouble here. Silva gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ahlberg is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Silva lets go of the hold and Ahlberg can pop his arm back in it's socket.
