Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pena Vanilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanilla kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rainbow - Stargazer. Gracie has chosen as his entrance music. Pena Vanilla has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Vanilla counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gracie thinking.

Vanilla tries to clinch up.
Vanilla rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vanilla misses with the combination.

Gracie swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Vanilla tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard.
Vanilla will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gracie keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Vanilla's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie is nestled in close to Vanilla, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Marcelo Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Vanilla is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.

Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vanilla doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.
Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vanilla has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vanilla does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gracie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
