PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reizander Casa de Valle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Spiderman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Casa de Valle has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The key to victory for Reizander Casa de Valle has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reizander Casa de Valle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Spiderman!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casa de Valle throws a head kick that half lands.
Casa de Valle throws a head kick that misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Casa de Valle.
Casa de Valle misses with a jab, cross combination.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Spiderman.
Spiderman controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I looks like Spiderman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Spiderman decides to stand back up. Spiderman steps back and let's Casa de Valle get back to his feet.
Casa de Valle is breathing heavily.
Spiderman fails with an attempt to clinch.

Spiderman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Spiderman is taking a breather. Casa de Valle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Spiderman connects with a nice short shot to Casa de Valle's temple.

Spiderman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Casa de Valle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Let's hope that Spiderman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jason Spiderman.

Spiderman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Spiderman cracks Casa de Valle with a big right hand but Casa de Valle just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Spiderman takes a little break here. Casa de Valle wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Spiderman looks up at the clock and then as Casa de Valle takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Spiderman smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Spiderman just content to control the position.
Spiderman creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Spiderman happy to just control the position for now.

Spiderman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Jason Spiderman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Spiderman throws a right hand that Casa de Valle ducks under and follows up with a left that Casa de Valle also avoids with ease.

Spiderman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Casa de Valle napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Spiderman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Casa de Valle's shoulder. That is not cool.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Spiderman stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Reizander Casa de Valle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Spiderman.
Spiderman cracks Casa de Valle with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Spiderman just content to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Casa de Valle thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Spiderman was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Spiderman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Casa de Valle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Spiderman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Spiderman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Spiderman decides to take the fight back to the feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Spiderman tries to bum rush Casa de Valle with a series of wild strikes but Casa de Valle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Spiderman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Casa de Valle to see if he's OK.

Casa de Valle throws a right and a left that Spiderman avoids nicely.

Casa de Valle pushes Spiderman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Spiderman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The referee asks Spiderman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Spiderman prefers to stall for the moment though.

Casa de Valle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Spiderman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Casa de Valle tries to roll over but Spiderman keeps him under control.

Spiderman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Jason Spiderman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jason Spiderman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Spiderman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
