Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle comes to the cage accompanied by Holy Wars...The Punishment Due. Pounder has chosen Supernatural Ass Pounder as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Castle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Pounder!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pounder paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Castle throws a front kick aimed at Pounder's knee but Pounder avoids it well.
Pounder misses with a left hand
and Castle counters with a right hand to the body.
Castle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pounder manages to avoid it.

Pounder scores a takedown into full mount!
Castle keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Castle is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Pounder goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Castle turns into him and now he's in Pounder's guard.
Castle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pounder is keeping the position for now.

Pounder is looking for a triangle but Castle pushes his legs off easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pounder keeping moving, preventing Castle from controlling successfully.

We're going to have a standup here because Frank Castle wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Castle tries to land a front kick but Pounder steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Castle.

A looping hook to the body misses from Castle. Pounder does a little dance to reset his feet.
Castle doesn't manage to clinch there - Pounder circles away.
Castle lands a really nice looking cross but Pounder seems unphased.
Pounder uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Castle.
Castle loads up on a big right hand but Pounder slips the punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Castle lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Pounder takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Pounder fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Castle manages to avoid it.
Castle walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pounder checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Castle is looking to clinch but Pounder is avoiding it.
Castle stuns Pounder with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pounder looks to score with a jab to the body but Castle is just out of range.

enabling Castle to counter with a crisp jab.
Castle tries to clinch up but Pounder circles away and keeps his distance.

and Pounder makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Castle counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pounder thinking.

and Pounder counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Castle is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Castle throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pounder sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pounder doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Castle misses with a hook. Pounder ducked under it nicely.

Castle scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Castle moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Castle misses with a left hand

and Pounder counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Castle's guard now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pounder postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Castle is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pounder, into his guard.
Pounder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Castle passes Pounder's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Pounder takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Castle not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Castle looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Pounder tries to roll over but Castle keeps him under control.
Castle is trying to control. Pounder wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Pounder is looking for a sweep. Castle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Castle seems to be working for a kimura but Pounder defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are battling for position here. Pounder manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Frank Castle is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Castle seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pounder for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Frank Castle.
Castle lands with a good body shot.
Castle scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Castle is looking to wear down Pounder with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Castle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jim Pounder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Castle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Castle lands in his opponent's guard.
Castle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A lull in the action here as Castle stalls from top position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Frank Castle showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Castle has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
