PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Angelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masakatsu Ueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masakatsu Ueda told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angelo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ueda throws a big shot that misses.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Angelo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ueda clobbers Angelo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

so Ueda counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Angelo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Ueda content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Angelo has locked up a guillotine! Angelo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ueda is holding on here and Angelo must be using up a lot of energy. Ueda has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Angelo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
