And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shane Old Papi!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Old Papi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Placido, pushing him back against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Placido.
Placido works on Old Papi's body with a couple of short punches.
Placido lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Old Papi.
Placido lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Old Papi backwards.
Old Papi throws a head punch that misses.
Placido breaks from the clinch.
Placido scores with a jab. Old Papi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Placido. Old Papi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Placido goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Placido counters with a straight right hand.
Old Papi has managed to clinch.
Placido lands a shot to the body.
Placido breaks the clinch.
Placido lands with a shot to the body.
Placido connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
and Placido counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Old Papi! He's just covering up as Placido starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
