Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Injun Merlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is call to prayer. Merlin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ladies and Gentlemen kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merlin looks to land a body kick but Garcia moved away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Garcia, right into the meat.
Garcia looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garcia gets to his feet. Merlin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Garcia scores with a sloppy right hand. Merlin should have avoided that one.
Garcia slips a jab and a cross from Merlin.
Garcia closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Garcia lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garcia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Merlin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Garcia has Merlin in his guard.
Garcia is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Merlin frees his head nicely. Oh but Garcia has switched to an armbar! Merlin is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
