PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Major Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kintaro Bi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holt comes to the cage accompanied by Country Boys Can Survive by Hank Williams Jr. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kintaro Bi!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bi closes the distance and clinches.

Bi has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Holt is trying to keep an underhook but Bi manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Holt looks like he's trying to stand up.
Holt moves into full guard.
Bi trying to move into half guard but instead Holt has managed to sweep!
Holt trying to control but Bi is working from the bottom.

Holt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Holt has managed to get both his arms back between Bi's legs - danger averted.
Holt wants to control from the top but Bi keeps moving.

Holt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Bi moves into the clinch successfully.
Holt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bi smiles and moves away.
Nice sprawl there from Bi as Holt shoots in.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bi darts in and clinches Holt up against the cage.
Holt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Major Holt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Holt pulls Bi into guard.
Holt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bi is one step ahead there.
Holt wants to stand up but Bi is controlling him.
Holt keeping moving, preventing Bi from controlling successfully.

Holt has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bi should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Holt has tightened it up now! Bi should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
