The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercado dives in and grabs Munson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Munson pushes down on Mercado's head and hops out.
Munson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Munson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Jose Mercado has been cut.
Mercado looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Munson looks to land a right hand but Mercado moved out of range.
Mercado on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Munson lands a big uppercut and Mercado crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mercado looks OK. Munson waves Mercado back to his feet!
Mercado is rocked!
Munson lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Mercado head around and knocks him out cold! Munson hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
