The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shine bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Shine wants to slow Silva down by chopping away at his legs.

Shine moves into the clinch successfully.

Silva closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shine quickly recovers to half guard.
Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shine is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.

Silva is stalling here. Shine is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Silva seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Shine has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close round but I would say that Marcus Silva will probably get the nod.

Shine tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
Silva lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Silva has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Shine is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Silva yanks on the arm and Shine is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Silva.
