Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sukk lands a with a good body shot.
Sukk scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sukk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sukk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Filipunaki is trying to stick to Sukk's back but Sukk is turning into Filipunaki. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Filipunaki's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sukk.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sukk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Filipunaki sprawls well initially but Sukk persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Filipunaki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sukk is working away from the top position though.
Filipunaki is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Sukk pulls his head out easily.
