The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Kudo. Those never looked like landing.
Kudo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kudo throws a right hand that Cornell ducks under and follows up with a left that Cornell also avoids with ease.
Kudo throws a sloppy head kick and Cornell moves out of range easily.
Cornell slips under a jab from Kudo.
Cornell shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kudo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kudo pushes Cornell away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cornell gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
