Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jun Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ador King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jun Akiyama has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jun Akiyama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ador King!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King rushes Akiyama and presses him up against the cage.
King prevents the takedown attempt.
Akiyama can't get the takedown.

King breaks from the clinch.
King misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Akiyama.
King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Akiyama tries for a takedown but King circles away easily
and King counters with a nice body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jun Akiyama. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King misses with a double jab

and Akiyama counters with a shoot takedown. King fights it but they end up in guard.
King will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
King is pulling down on Akiyama's head. It's preventing any offense from Akiyama, at least for the moment.

King looking for a guillotine here but Akiyama defends easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

King manages to escape and get back to his feet.

King misses with a takedown

and Akiyama counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Akiyama knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
King is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Akiyama on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Akiyama tries to get out of the position.
King is pressing down on Akiyama's thigh, looking to free his foot. Akiyama is holding on for now.

Akiyama wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and King is now in half guard.

King lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
King prevents Akiyama from improving his position.

Akiyama has one foot on King's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

and King counters with a thumping low kick.
Akiyama is breathing heavily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
King wants a takedown but no success here.
Akiyama is trying to drag King to the mat but King just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
King is pressed up against the cage. Akiyama has hold of a leg and is looking to drag King down to the mat. King avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Akiyama enables King to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Akiyama manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
King stands and throws Akiyama's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Akiyama is letting King control him for a moment.
Akiyama tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
King happy to just control the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King stands up and beckons Akiyama to his feet.
Akiyama misses with a takedown attempt

and King counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
King passes Akiyama's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

King decides to stand and escape the position.
King shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Akiyama counters with a shoot takedown. King fights it but they end up in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ador King dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


King shoots in but no luck this time.
Jun Akiyama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

King gets a takedown into half guard.
King trying to pass the guard but Akiyama defending well.
Akiyama controlling the position well.

King is working for a kimura but Akiyama is defending it quite comfortably.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. King lands a nice short elbow.

Akiyama is trying to get back to full guard.
King controlling the pace.
Ador King has got the better of the ground game so far.
Akiyama wants to control but King is keeping busy.
Akiyama is not content to let King control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
King uses his free foot to push down on Akiyama's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Akiyama.
King cracks Akiyama with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Akiyama is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
King is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Akiyama can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
King is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Akiyama in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
King wants to control the pace but Akiyama is squirming around nicely.
King lands a big elbow.

King goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Akiyama is on top in guard.

Akiyama preventing the sweep.
Akiyama wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position.
King manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
King lands a big elbow.
King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

King get's back to his feet.

Akiyama stopping the sweep attempt from King.
King keeping moving, preventing Akiyama from controlling successfully.
Akiyama throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
King is looking to stand up but Akiyama isn't so interested in that idea.

Ador King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

King has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Akiyama's face.

King is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Akiyama is surviving well by controlling King's body position as best he can.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
King is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

King is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Akiyama knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Akiyama for a finish.

Ador King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well King has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
