Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kudo Gerya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Hugo Avila has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hugo Avila seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerya tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kudo Gerya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Avila takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Hugo Avila has been cut.
Gerya will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Avila blocks the body kick.
No luck for Avila with that takedown attempt.
Avila tries to clinch but Gerya is having none of it.
Avila blocks a head kick by Gerya.
Some wild striking there from Avila.
Gerya tries to bum rush Avila with a series of wild strikes but Avila uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gerya throws a left and a right that both miss
and Avila counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gerya!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Avila punching from mount but Gerya doing a good job of avoiding damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Avila looking to control but Gerya is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Gerya really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Avila. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Avila throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Avila putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Avila is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Avila extends the arm and Gerya is forced to tap!
