Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Albert Ashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Dayman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dayman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Day Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Walter Dayman!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashton misses the body punch
and Dayman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dayman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ashton has his foot on Dayman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dayman works his way back into a safe position though.
Ashton manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ashton has hold of Dayman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dayman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dayman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ashton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ashton working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Ashton working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Dayman looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Ashton! Submission of the night perhaps?
