Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cat Litter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castle shoots in for a takedown but Litter shows good takedown defense.
Castle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Max Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castle feints a jab promting Litter to slip. Castle then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Litter slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Cat Litter has been cut.
Castle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Litter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Castle darts in trying to clinch
and Litter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Castle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Castle tries to sprawl but Litter drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Litter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Litter looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Litter passes to side control.

Castle is letting Litter control him for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Litter throws an elbow but Castle slips to the side and avoids it well.
Castle is working to avoid the ground and pound but Litter connects with a decent elbow.
Castle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Litter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Litter trying to control the action but Castle is working from the bottom.
Litter in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Castle takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Litter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Litter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Castle is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Litter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Castle is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Castle is not content to let Litter control the position.

Litter goes for an armbar but Castle turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Castle.

Castle wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Litter's closed guard. He's half up but Litter has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Litter pivots and extends the arm, Castle falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Litter! Well done that man!
