Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Trancoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nobutaka Hiyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trancoso comes to the cage accompanied by SGX - Composer. Hiyoshi has chosen Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter as his entrance music. Cody Trancoso could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nobutaka Hiyoshi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cody Trancoso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nobutaka Hiyoshi!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trancoso misses with a wild body shot.
Trancoso moves into range and connects with a jab.
Trancoso rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Trancoso takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A jab from Trancoso misses.
Hiyoshi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Trancoso with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hiyoshi to score with a decent uppercut.
Trancoso throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hiyoshi on the side of the head.
A big left from Hiyoshi misses.

letting Trancoso counter with a right hand.


It looks like Nobutaka Hiyoshi has been cut.
A jab from Hiyoshi does it's job there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Trancoso throws a shot from downtown. Hiyoshi moves away and avoids it.
Trancoso lands with a nice body punch.
Hiyoshi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Trancoso jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Trancoso fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hiyoshi manages to avoid it.
Hiyoshi throws a poor cross that misses
letting Trancoso counter with a right hand.
Hiyoshi scores with a punch to the head.
Trancoso misses with a left hand
and Hiyoshi counters with a one-two to the body.


Trancoso is rocked!
Hiyoshi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hiyoshi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Trancoso fails to land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trancoso misses with a wild body shot.
Hiyoshi moves forwards but Trancoso connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hiyoshi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Trancoso throws a jab when Hiyoshi was well out of range.
Hiyoshi misses with a hook. Trancoso ducked under it nicely.
Donk. Hiyoshi catches Trancoso right on the button with a cross.
Trancoso misses with a left hand
and Hiyoshi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Trancoso lands with a nice body punch.
Hiyoshi thuds a left hand into Trancoso's body.
Trancoso is breathing heavily.

Hiyoshi sends Trancoso crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hiyoshi is motioning to the referee to let Trancoso up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Trancoso is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Trancoso uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hiyoshi.
Hiyoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Trancoso seems to have got his legs back now.
Hiyoshi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Trancoso stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Trancoso drops his hands momentarily and Hiyoshi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hiyoshi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A big left from Hiyoshi misses.
Trancoso misses with a straight right.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hiyoshi missing with a left hand there. Trancoso was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Trancoso lands a two punch combo.
Trancoso throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hiyoshi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Trancoso looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hiyoshi throws an overhand right that has Trancoso reeling! Hiyoshi follows up with more punches and Trancoso is out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nobutaka Hiyoshi!
