These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peers shoots in looking for a takedown. Cousineau tries to sprawl out of it but Peers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cousineau manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Peers looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Cousineau jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cousineau tries to close the distance and clinch but Peers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Peers misses with a head kick.
Cousineau ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A left and a right from Cousineau both land. Nice combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cousineau looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Peers!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cousineau swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
