Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Niebieski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alessio Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alessio Maximus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Piotr Niebieski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alessio Maximus!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Maximus wants to clinch up but Niebieski keeps it at a distance.
Niebieski goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Maximus throws a combination. Niebieski tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Piotr Niebieski has been cut.

Maximus has closed the distance and engaged Niebieski in a clinch.

Maximus has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Niebieski is trying to keep an underhook but Maximus manages to get the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maximus stops Niebieski from getting back to his feet.
Niebieski is trying to maintain the position but Maximus is very close to passing his half guard.
Maximus content to control rather than advance.
Maximus is looking to advance position but Niebieski won't allow it.
Maximus prevents Niebieski from standing back up.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Maximus trying to control the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Alessio Maximus hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Niebieski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Niebieski lands with a thumping leg kick.
Maximus fails with an attempt to clinch.
A low kick from Maximus misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Niebieski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Niebieski tries to clinch
enabling Maximus to counter with a crisp jab.

Maximus scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Maximus happy to just control the position for now.
Maximus working the ground and pound.
The referee asks Maximus politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Maximus prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Niebieski is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Maximus asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Maximus wants to control but Niebieski is keeping him busy.
Niebieski is breathing heavily.
Niebieski struggling a bit here.

Maximus looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Niebieski is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Maximus just content to control the position.

Let's hope that Maximus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Maximus is chipping away with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maximus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Niebieski keeps working.
A lull in the action here as Maximus stalls from top position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Maximus has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Niebieski!
Niebieski squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Maximus looking to control but Niebieski is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Maximus sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Maximus is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Maximus tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Piotr Niebieski's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Niebieski moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Piotr Niebieski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Some bone on bone action there as Maximus checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Niebieski is looking to clinch but Maximus is avoiding it.
Niebieski throws the kick towards the body but Maximus avoids it.

Maximus shoots in and bounces Niebieski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Maximus prevents Niebieski from getting back to his feet.
Maximus trying to control the position from guard on top but Niebieski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Maximus advances to half guard.
Maximus is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Maximus works his foot free and advances to mount.
Maximus breaks from Niebieski's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Niebieski trying desperately to get to his feet.
Maximus controlling the position easily from mount.
Maximus lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Niebieski hang on?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Maximus.
Maximus with good strikes from the mount here!
Maximus looking to control and managing it successfully.
Alessio Maximus has got the better of the ground game so far.
Maximus breaks from Niebieski's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Niebieski in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Niebieski is rocked!
Maximus looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Niebieski covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
