Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Giuseppe Omni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and manny makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omni comes to the cage accompanied by Search and Destroy. makunouchi has chosen sandstorm as his entrance music. manny makunouchi acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omni cracks makunouchi with an open hand slap.

Omni shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Omni was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Omni is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but makunouchi is surviving well by controlling Omni's body position as best he can.

Omni postures up in makunouchi's guard and throws a big left but makunouchi blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Omni stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. makunouchi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

makunouchi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Omni escapes and throws makunouchi's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Omni is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and makunouchi defends it well.

Omni drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Omni jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

makunouchi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Omni has picked makunouchi up and slammed him! makunouchi can't keep hold of the triangle and Omni manages to pass to side control!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Omni moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Omni looks to land a combination but makunouchi avoids it well.
Omni fakes high and swings low for a body shot but makunouchi manages to avoid it.
makunouchi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
makunouchi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Omni throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
makunouchi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Omni counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Omni scores with a head kick. makunouchi tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Omni digs a good hook to makunouchi's body.
makunouchi throws a body punch but Omni moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Omni.
Omni feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits makunouchis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Omni ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Omni cracks makunouchi with a right hand to the side of the head.
manny makunouchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Omni lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Omni throws a head kick that misses.
makunouchi is breathing heavily.
makunouchi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Omni shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Omni showed some decent athleticism there.

Omni has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can makunouchi defend it? Omni steps over the head and cranks it - makunouchi is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Omni!
