PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerry Lawson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

It looks like Jerry Lawson has been cut.
Lawson is working to get back to half guard.
Lawson wants to control but Rage is having none of it.

Rage is keen to just control but Lawson is a slippery customer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lawson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rage to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rage shrugs it off.

That was a close round but I would say that Randy Rage will probably get the nod.

A nice combination there by Rage.

Rage tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rage has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lawson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rage kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Randy Rage wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
