The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz throws a right and a left that Mc Giggles avoids nicely.

Mc Giggles gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mc Giggles keeps control of Ruiz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ruiz tries to break the clinch but Mc Giggles is controlling the position.
Mc Giggles drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ruiz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ruiz scores with a one two! Mc Giggles had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Ruiz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ruiz wants to get back to his feet but Mc Giggles is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ruiz controls Mc Giggles momentarily but Mc Giggles frees himself.
Ruiz tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mc Giggles closes the distance and clinches up with Ruiz, looking for a takedown. Mc Giggles pushes Ruiz against the cage but Ruiz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mc Giggles shoots in and drives through. Ruiz sprawls well.
Adolpho Ruiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wiggle Mc Giggles.

A big right followed by a crushing left from Ruiz knocks Mc Giggles out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
