PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otto Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lolly Pop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maddox might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Institutionalized - Suicidal Tendencies. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Pop.

Lolly Pop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maddox sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lolly Pop has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Pop is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maddox.

Pop escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maddox gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Maddox shoots in looking for a takedown. Pop tries to sprawl out of it but Maddox keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pop manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pop throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maddox sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pop shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maddox as he avoids it easily.
Otto Maddox has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Pop has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
