And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos swings away with a body shot that misses
and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand.
Santos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
Jackson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.


It looks like Andrew Jackson has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jackson dodges an elbow strike from Santos.
Jackson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Santos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.
A right-left combo lands from Santos.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Santos sprawls well. Santos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.

You get the feeling that Santos really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Santos wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson is pushing down on Santos's leg trying to pass to half guard. Santos is fighting to maintain full guard but Jackson has managed to sneak the leg through.

Santos's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
