The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kalas wants it to stay on the feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kalas.
Kalas gets a takedown into half guard.
Does tries to get to full guard but Kalas has control of the leg.
Kalas not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kalas throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kalas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
