Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nobuyuki Aizawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Catrina Andrei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Nobuyuki Aizawa has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andrei looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Andrei wants to pass the guard but Aizawa is defending well.
Aizawa scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Andrei manages to mount him!
Aizawa's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Andrei with shots to the head and body - Aizawa looks very uncomfortable down there.
Aizawa is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Andrei pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Andrei should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Andrei shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aizawa's guard.

Aizawa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Andrei defends it easily.

Aizawa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Andrei defends well.

Aizawa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Andrei gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Andrei stands up from Aizawa's guard - Andrei perhaps looking for a knockout.

Catrina Andrei dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

No joy there for Aizawa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Andrei moves forwards but Aizawa connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Andrei changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aizawa tries to avoid it but Andrei manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aizawa to the ground. Aizawa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nobuyuki Aizawa.
