Nieminen has chosen Born an OG as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Nieminen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nieminen prevents Lorde from escaping the position.
Sloppy strikes there by Nieminen.
Lorde is pushing Nieminen's head away, looking to escape. Nieminen manages to hold on to the position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nieminen throws a strike aimed at the side of Lorde's head but Lorde avoids it well.
Lorde stops Nieminen from passing to mount.
Nieminen in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Nieminen wants to control but Lorde is keeping him busy.

Lorde is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nieminen has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No joy there for Nieminen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lorde wants to clinch up but Nieminen keeps it at a distance.
Lorde slips a straight right by Nieminen.
King Lorde seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lorde throws a series of punches but Nieminen avoids them all with ease.
Lorde ducks under a wild hook from Nieminen.
Good work by Lorde as he checks the leg kick.

Nieminen scores a takedown into full mount!
Nieminen lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lorde hang on?
Poor strikes thrown by Nieminen there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Nieminen is working for a guillotine from mount but Lorde frees his head quite easily.
