Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aj Lumsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jz Iceberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aj Lumsden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jz Iceberg!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iceberg bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Iceberg tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Lumsden is not content to let Iceberg control the position.
Lumsden is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Lumsden is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lumsden has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Iceberg is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lumsden desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Iceberg is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jz Iceberg wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lumsden lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Iceberg circles away quickly and effectively.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lumsden is looking to clinch.
Lumsden swats away the attempt to clinch by Iceberg.

and Lumsden counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Iceberg!
Iceberg tries to hold on but Lumsden postures up.
Lumsden throws some wild stikes that Iceberg manages to avoid easily.
Iceberg bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Lumsden trying to keep a closed guard but Iceberg is proving a slippery customer.
Lumsden looking to hit a scissor sweep but Iceberg is one step ahead there.

Iceberg wants to pass the guard but Lumsden is keeping the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Iceberg wants to clinch up but Lumsden keeps it at a distance.
Iceberg tries for a takedown but Lumsden circles away easily

and Lumsden counters by moving into the clinch.
Iceberg wants a takedown but no success here.
Aj Lumsden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jz Iceberg.
Lumsden can't get the takedown.

Lumsden misses with some punches.

Iceberg decides to pull guard.
Lumsden sitting in guard here, content to control.
Iceberg looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Aj Lumsden will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Lumsden rushes Iceberg and presses him up against the cage.
Iceberg tries to pull guard but Lumsden holds him up against the cage and eventually Iceberg drops back down to his feet.

Iceberg is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lumsden can't fight it off and eventually Iceberg manages to take the fight to the floor. Lumsden looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lumsden wants to hit a switch here but Iceberg passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lumsden there!

Iceberg throws a wild left hand from mount and Lumsden manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lumsden tries to get to full guard but Iceberg has control of the leg.

Iceberg wants to pass the guard but Lumsden is keeping the position.

Lumsden is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Iceberg is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lumsden keeping moving, preventing Iceberg from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Iceberg trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lumsden working a defensive guard here.
Lumsden is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jz Iceberg will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Iceberg gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lumsden counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Iceberg is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lumsden pulls his head out easily.
Iceberg wants to get back to his feet.
Lumsden takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Lumsden trying to control from Iceberg's half guard. Iceberg has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Iceberg is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lumsden is aware though and is defending well.
Iceberg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Aj Lumsden overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Iceberg looking for a sweep. Not yet Iceberg, not yet.
Lumsden is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Iceberg trying to keep a closed guard but Lumsden is proving a slippery customer.
Iceberg is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Lumsden moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Lumsden attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Iceberg tries to clinch but Lumsden is having none of it.
Lumsden jabs at Iceberg's body.
Iceberg takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


It looks like Jz Iceberg has been cut.
Lumsden lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Lumsden drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lumsden keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Iceberg's head.
Lumsden scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Iceberg keeping moving, preventing Lumsden from controlling successfully.
Lumsden postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Lumsden trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Iceberg working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lumsden.
Iceberg wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lumsden is now in half guard.

Iceberg tries to kick Lumsden off but Lumsden keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lumsden is trying to control. Iceberg wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Iceberg is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lumsden scores with a couple of nice shots.

Iceberg pushes Lumsden off and gets back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Iceberg. Lumsden does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice shot lands for Lumsden.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Iceberg misses with a takedown
enabling Lumsden to counter with a crisp jab.
Lumsden lands a jab to Iceberg's midsection.

And that's the end of the fight!
Aj Lumsden showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lumsden has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
