The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the rock shoots for a double leg takedown but Tigas sprawls well. He's pushed the rock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tigas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice takedown defense from Tigas. No joy for the rock on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago the rock. That's going to take a lot out of him.

the rock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tigas swivels and escapes.
Tigas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Tigas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A looping hook to the body misses from Tigas. the rock does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tigas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
the rock has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tigas.

Tigas throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Titing Tigas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tigas misses with a wild combination.
The fighters circle, before Tigas throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into the rock's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Tigas lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
